Course programme

The Knowledge Academy CCNA Wireless Certification 12 day course covers the following topics:

Cisco Certified Network Associate Wireless (CCNA Wireless) validates associate-level knowledge and skills to configure, implement and support of wireless LANs, specifically those networks using Cisco equipment.

With a CCNA Wireless certification, network professionals can support a basic wireless network on a Cisco WLAN in a SMB to enterprise network.

The CCNA Wireless curriculum includes information and practice activities to prepare them for configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting basic tasks of a Cisco WLAN in SMB and Enterprise networks.

The certification comprises of two courses, Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices pt1 v2.0 and Implementing Unified Wireless Networking Essentials v2.0. Both courses need to be completed in order to attain the certification.

Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices pt1 v2.0

This course focuses on providing the skills and knowledge required to install, operate, configure, and verify a basic IPv4 and IPv6 network, including configuring a LAN switch, configuring an IP router, connecting to a WAN, and identifying basic security threats.

At the end of this course students should be able to complete the configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of a small branch network under supervision.

Target Audience

This course is intended for network engineers and administrators who will install, operate and troubleshoot a small branch office Enterprise network.

This is an entry level course and is ideal for those individuals new to networking and looking to start their Cisco Career Certification accreditation.

Implementing Unified Wireless Networking Essentials v2.0

The Implementing Cisco Unified Networking Essentials is a five day ILT course, designed to help students prepare for the CCNA Wireless certification,an associate level certification specialising in the wireless field.

The goal of IUWNE is to provide students with the information and practice activities necessary to prepare them for designing, installing, configuring, monitoring and conducting basic troubleshooting tasks on a Cisco WLAN in SMB and Enterprise installations.

This is an associate level course and as such aims to provide only entry level information, and does not specialise in any of the advanced features of the Cisco WLAN networks solutions.

Target Audience

The primary audience is those individuals interested in gaining an overview of a Cisco WLAN and the technologies that can be deployed within that Network.

It is an ideal course for those that are new to wireless and are looking to gain the 1st level of wireless certification.
