Course programme

CCSNG Safety Passport Supervisor course is taken in addition to the safety passport which is designed to give basic knowledge of health and safety for all site personnel to enable them, after appropriate site induction, to work on site more safely with lower risk to themselves and others. The scheme has been adopted by BP Amoco, Corus, Dow Corning, Elf, Esso, ICI, Lindsey Oil, National Power, Powergen, Shell, Texaco and many other major industrial companies. The scheme results in the award of a ‘Safety Passport’ to contractor site personnel and is monitored and controlled by a national steering group known as the Client/Contractor National Safety Group (CCNSG). The CCNSG Safety Passport Supervisor course also covers behavioural aspects, communication, planning and time management, incident/accident prevention, role responsibilities and hazard/risk assessment. Supervisors will be given a new passport which is valid for three years and would need to be renewed along with the Safety Passport.
