Course Objectives
A two-day workshop specifically for Clients, Designers, Coordinators, Principal Contractors and Contractors.
The workshop will explain the CDM regs and associated legislation.
Background to the CDM regs and the difficulties encountered in the implementation.
Roles and duties of duty holders.
Competence requirements for all duty holders.
Contents of the pretender health and safety pack.
Basic functions of the safety plans and the safety file.
Risk Assessment and safety method statements specifically related to delegate needs e.g. Designer, Principal Contractor
and Contractor.

COURSE CONTENTS

· Framework of safety legislation linked to the management of construction, engineering and building projects.
· The revised CDM regulations 2007 and the new AcoP.
· The elements of the revoked Construction (Health & Safety & Welfare) Regs 1996.
· Contents of the Health & Safety pack, Construction phase Health & Safety Plan and Safety File.
· Safety strategies
Case studies will be included which relate to delegates specific activities.
Delegates are encouraged to bring to the course matters which are of concern to them in the implementation of their projects.
