An introduction to playing the cello in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Classes will comprise tutor explanation and demonstration, group playing and individual practice (please bring your own instrument). Sessions will also include class discussion, aural skills and theoretical study.
To make progress you will need to practise regularly outside class (ideally at least 20 minutes on least 5 days per week).

- Play simple tunes on the cello with a good relaxed posture and correct technique in each hand
- Read and play simple music in bass clef
- Play in ensembles
- Play on your own with confidence.
