What is this course about? This is a structured course for beginners covering basic materials, techniques and processes, alongside elementary design and contextual work.
Who is this course for? Those with little or no experience of ceramics.
What do I need to get on the course? No previous experience required
What will I study?
Learn a range of basic making techniques including handbuilding and throwing, as well as how to decorate and glaze your work. Realise your own designs and record your progress in a sketchbook. A gallery visit will introduce you to the work of other designers and makers.
What qualification will I get? NOCN Award in Art and Design
What can I do after the course? You can progress on to a Level 2 course

Come to the Centre for Lifelong Learning 28-42 Blackstock Rd, Finsbury Park, London N4 2DG Tues 1st â€" Thu 3rd Sept 10am-7pm. Fri 4th Sept 10am-1pm. Mon 7th Sept 10am â€" 7pm.
How much does the course cost? £75 materials charge, payable in instalments. Concessionary students pay a £40 annual registration charge which covers any courses where concessions are available.
