About this course
To be eligible for this course applicants must have at least 4 GCSE's at grade D including Maths and English and a letter of recommendation from their school or a previous employer covering attendance and behaviour.Successful completion of Level 1 CEUS.

What are the Course Details?
This qualification aims to provide an opportunity for learners with a career interest in one of the uniformed services.
Is the Course for Me?
This course is aimed at learners who are interested in a career in the armed or civilian forces such as the Royal Navy, the Marines, the Army, Royal Air Force, Police, Fire or Prison Service.
Applicants must be prepared to undergo a period of intense physical training to meet the requirements of the force of their choice.
Learners will be accepted onto the course providing they have the correct entry qualifications, however, it must be stressed that the different armed and civilian forces have their own entry criteria, so entry to the force of your choice may not always be possible.

Opportunities exist for learners to undertake other qualifications such as NCFE Exercise and Fitness Level 1 and Certificate in Swimming Pool Supervision and Rescue.
How will I be Assessed?
Progress will be assessed through practical and assignment based activities and completion of a course portfolio.
What Enrichment is Available?
Learners have access to the College enrichment programme to develop and broaden their experience of College life.
Are There any Trips and Visits?
Trips and visits including residential weeks with the different services are available to all CEUS learners. There is also a residential trip to a PGL adventure training centre where experience of outdoor pursuits and adventurous activities are available.
Is there any Work Experience?
Work experience is ongoing with the residentials and visits to the different services.
What can I Progress to?
Upon completion of the course learners will generally apply to one of the uniformed services, or progress onto a Level 2 or 3 course in sport.

Acceptance onto courses may be subject to a satisfactory interview and references. For some courses learners may also be required to pay for a CRB disclosure.
