About this course
To achieve the certificate at Entry Level 1 you will need to achieve a min 15 credits, an award in PSD and progress in English and Maths.

The course will prepare you for greater participation at home or in the community. If you wish to continue at College there is the opportunity to progress on to Entry Level 2 to undertake the Diploma in Independent Living or the Certificate in Employability and Work Skills.
This course is designed to promote learning for life skills and your tutor will select the most appropriate units for you, based on your agreed learning aims and to prepare you for progression.
You will take part in projects that build your credit portfolio and you will start to learn the skills to help you live independently in the community. Activities will include learning how to look after your own personal care and basic household skills, as well as looking at leisure activities and your rights and responsibilities. You will receive support throughout your course and will be encouraged to work at your own pace.
