Course programme
Practical full body massage techniques will be taught, along with related theory. Anatomy and physiology will also be included to give the basic understanding of the body’s systems, such topics as circulatory system, structure and function of muscles, the skeletal system and skin. There will also be included a unit which supports health, safety and security in the salon. The course will also cover practical body massage techniques, infra-red treatment and a mechanical massager technique
Students will be assessed practically and orally throughout the course, a portfolio containing evidence of theory work undertaken will be produced. There will be separate independent theory assessments papers, and several assignments covering different areas of research which will be completed. This will ensure that you have the required underpinning knowledge and skills.
Course expected to last a minimum of 24 weeks.
On successful completion of this Body Massage course you will be awarded a City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Body Massage.
This course requires an additional £5 material fee.
