About this course
During the course, you will learn:
The development of a specific in-depth understanding of functional anatomy and biomechanics, relating to the spine and lower back.
To apply appropriate training approaches to plan and design progressive programmes for clients with low back pain.
To develop an understanding of the disease process and how activity or inactivity influences low back pain management
To develop an understanding of medications, psychological/sociological factors and co-morbidities that influence an individuals ability to exercise safely and effectively.
This course is aimed at experienced Instructors wishing to further their career in the health and fitness sector as a specialist instructor who can address the needs of patients/clients with low back pain.
Learners must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral.
At the end of the course you will hold an Active IQ Level 4 Certificate in Exercise Management for Low Back Pain
and you will reach REPS Level 4
You will be sent your pre-course reading then attend a two day practical workshop to complete the course.
