Certificate in Tourism and Hospitality Management

This is a professional qualification designed for the needs of the Tourism and Hospitality industry. The Certificate is designed for people who are in the tourism and hospitality industry and may already have experience within the industry. This qualification aims to help team leaders and supervisors.

Introduction to Business Communication and Customer Care
Introduction to Business and Finance

Entry Requirements

You will normally need to have the following:
• A minimum of 5 O’ Levels (which should include Mathematics) or a recognised equivalent.
and English Competency
• IELTS 5.0 or a recognised equivalent
Assessment/ Examination
The method of assessment for all modules is by written examination of three hours duration each.

Level of Qualification

This is an undergraduate level qualification, classed as a level 5 qualification under the UK National Qualifications Framework.

Progression

This qualification allows students to progress to Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management or into employment within the industry.

Awarding Body and Certification

The Organisation for Tourism and Hospitality Management (OTHM) is a membership body founded in London in 2001 by a group of specialists from the industry and academia. A major part of OTHM's work is to provide a track of professional management qualifications for people who wish to develop a career in the industry. They are a long term academic partner of The London South Bank University.
Upon successful completion of this qualification, the certificate will be awarded by OTHM.
