There is an increasing emphasis on how General Practitioners deliver out of hours healthcare to those in remote and rural areas in Scotland and in particular to those who require rehabilitation, re-ablement, palliative and end of life care.
The Certificate in Urgent Care provides allied healthcare professionals working in out of hours service with the skills required to deliver high quality care to patients. Our students lead and organise high quality healthcare services that meet the needs of the patient population. This practical education will be underpinned by critical understanding of the theoretical perspectives and organisational models.
We offer a flexible programme. There are three intakes per year with students studying modules for twelve weeks commencing in January, May and September. Successfully completing all three modules provides you with the Postgraduate Certificate.
