Challenging Behaviours

This is a more in-depth course looking at the different types and causes of challenging behaviours and how to deal with them using the system of REFLECT, RELATE and REVIEW. Issues of communication and feedback to the resident are discussed, as are the potential indicators of challenging behaviours. Strategies for dealing with verbal abuse are looked at as well as calming down therapies and reviewing incidents.
