This course adds a further, optional year’s professional internship to our standard three year Chemistry with Biomedicine BSc. To take the Year’s Professional Placement, students need their second year grades to be at an average of 60% or higher; and to be successful in securing a year’s professional internship offered by major companies in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and in finance, banking, management and law, and smaller organizations such as biotech companies.
We help prepare you for these competitive year-long placements with assistance in applying for shorter summer (two month) placements in your earlier years and with help with your CV and interview experience.
One of the features of all our Chemistry courses is the variety of assessment methods across all years of study, including essays, poster design and presentation, short talks and reports, which cumulatively prepare our graduates to stand out as articulate chemists in a wide range of professions, and immediately in applying for the Year’s Professional Placement.
