You'll gain the knowledge and experience that will enable you to work with children from 0 to 5 years (and gain knowledge of children aged 5-7) You'll cover topics such as: health & well-being; professional practice; play, development and learning for school; and professional development The course involves a work placement so that your skills can be evaluated in real situations

Throughout the course, you will build up an electronic portfolio of your work The work placement also forms an important part of the assessment process

You will be able to progress to Higher Education (degree-level) or be employed as an early years educators (UCAS confirm maximum allocation of 420 points at A* to the Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education)

Learners will need to do a practical placement This is an important part of the assessment process and involves the evaluation of your skills in real working situations
