CIEH Food Safety Level 1 in Catering

Level One Award

The new CIEH Level 1 award in food safety is run as a half-day course, aimed at those new to the workplace who require a simple overview of a subject, before starting work or as part of an induction programme. Suitable for a variety of candidates, including new employees with minimal or no prior food safety knowledge, employees handling low-risk or wrapped food or those who work front of house, such as waiting or check out staff, as well as back of house such as kitchen porters, warehouse staff, school leavers taking their first job or migrant workers with limited language skills.

• Food Safety (food hygiene, hazards & responsibilities)
• Personal Hygiene
• Cleaning
• Contamination
