Get to grips with DSLR shooting techniques on our one-day practical DSLR cinematography workshop.
DSLR is fast becoming a necessary skill among cinematographers. Previously the tool of choice for independent and freelance filmmakers, it has become an increasingly popular choice among large budget filmmakers. A number of highly acclaimed feature films were shot using DSLR, including ‘Tiny Furniture’ (Lena Dunham, 2010) and ‘Like Crazy’ (Drake Doremus, 2011), which were both filmed with the Canon 7D. Even big budget Hollywood productions such as, ‘The Avengers’ (Joss Whedon, 2012) and ‘Black Swan’ (Darren Aronofsky, 2010) have turned to DSLR to capture motion scenes.
In an intense day of hands-on learning you cover all the essential lighting and operating skills you need to master the DSLR format. You benefit from detailed, technical insight into DSLR filmmaking throughout the day which demonstrates why shooting on DSLR is an effective choice for those who are working on a budget but don't want to sacrifice anything when it comes to creating a professional quality image.
