About this course

To help site managers, agents and supervisors to:
• Manage health & safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions, and within context of their management or supervisory role
• Develop an understanding of responsibilities and accountability for site health, safety and welfare
• Recognise and maintain a safe site whilst keeping work efficient, economical and productive

This course is designed for construction site managers, agents, project directors, plus other construction personnel who are, or about to be, responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff and workforce.

Possession of the SMSTS qualification is one of the competency requirements for site managers in the Approved Code of Practice to the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Evidence of training is often required in tender applications and pre-qualification Health & Safety questionnaires.
