Is this course for me?
This qualification is primarily aimed at practicing electricians
with relevant experience and other allied professionals e.g.
surveyors, consultants needing to update and enhance their
understanding of IEE Wiring Regulations. It is also suitable for
anyone wishing to demonstrate an understanding of the IEE Wiring
Regulations BS 7671:2008.
What will I study?
The aim of the course is to enable students to demonstrate that
they are conversant with the IEE Wiring Regulations. There are 8
learning outcomes that relate to Parts 1 - 7 and the Appendices of
BS 7671:2008. A knowledge and understanding of:

• Scope, object & fundamental principles
• Definitions
• Assessment of general characteristics
• Protection for safety
• Selection & erection of equipment
• Inspection & testing
• Special installations or locations
• Appendices

What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal entry criteria requirements for this
qualification; however candidates are expected to have a knowledge
of electrical science.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by a 2-hour 60-question on-line GOLA exam sat at
the end of the course
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
