City and Guilds 2394-01 Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations

Course review:

The course includes three examinable components:

301 - online multiple choice exam with 40 questions
302 - Practical assignment
303 - 1.5 hour written paper

The written paper is on set dates through the year.

In order to gain the qualification, candidates must pass each examinable component.

The course breakdown is as follows:-

Day One - Introduction to Inspection and Testing theory and practical, explanations and demonstrations.

Day Two - Morning - Inspection and Testing continued. Afternoon - practical exercises, completion of certificates and theory papers.

Day Three - practical and theory practise.

Day Four - Morning - 40 question online multiple choice exam (2394-301) Afternoon - practical assignment (2394-302), past papers.

Some practical examinations may take place on a fifth day.

Candidates will need to return for the written examination (2394-303) which takes place in the evening (6.30 - 8.00pm) on dates set by City and Guilds , usually a week or so after the main body of the course.
