Content
The aim of this course is to give you the knowledge and skills required by today's Electronics Industry, whether you choose to be an Industrial or Domestic Service Engineer.

You will learn the theory of how components work, what they are used for and how they operate when they are put together to make a circuit.

You will study a range of core modules including:
  • Electronics devices and testing
  • Digital Electronics
  • DC and AC Technology and Electronics systems
You will be able to choose an option module from:
  • Radio and TV systems
  • Commercial Electronics or PC technology.
You will also have the opportunity to gain additional qualifications such as Key Skills and OCNW Level 2 Certificate in Health and Safety will form part of your final qualifications.

Assessment
Your work will be assessed on a continual basis through a range of written and practical assignments.

Progression
This course will prepare you for employment in consumer or commercial electronics or further study such as the VRQ Engineering Diploma in Electrical Electronics Engineering Level 3.
