C&G 2391: Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations

This 3-day course for practising electricians provides a complete review of the latest "wiring regs" (BS7671:2008 - 17th Edition red book) with practical demonstrations. This prepares you for the written exam and practical test for 2391 certification. This is the preferred qualification for Inspection and Testing.
You should have practical experience of inspecting and testing electrical installations and have a good working knowledge of the technical requirements of BS7671 to City & Guilds (C&G) 2382 standard or equivalent.
Although copies are available at the training facility, it would be an advantage to bring your own, up to date copies of:
  • The IEE On-Site Guide
  • BS7671 (the red book 17th edition "wiring regs")
  • IEE Guidance Note 3, Inspection & Testing
Candidates will be expected to do homework in the evenings in order to prepare for practice written questions and for the exam on the Thursday evening.
The 2½-hour written exam is set and marked by City & Guilds (C&G). The 4-hour practical exam is conducted one-to-one between the Assessor and each candidate, at a time to be arranged when mutually convenient, usually on the Thursday or Friday of the week of the course. The format and content of this is set by C&G.
Courses are run at our Towcester Training Centre or at client premises by prior arrangement.
A "late entry" window exists up to 3 weeks before the exam, but an additional £50 will be charged for bookings made during this period.
