Course Overview

This course is one of a series that have been introduced by Baines Simmons specifically to develop the competence of senior managers. The course will provide an understanding of the basic responsibilities as an Accountable (or Key) Manager.

The capabilities and professionalism of Key Personnel within EASA Approved Organisations play a significant part in sustaining flight safety. Accordingly EASA and National Aviation Authorities have generated requirements for Key Personnel. This course will equip participants with the knowledge and understanding of these requirements.

If you are an EASA Form 4 applicant or holder this course is definitely for you.

Course Format

This course is a balanced mix of group discussions, whiteboard work and PowerPoint presentations. Managed syndicate exercises give participants the opportunity to practise application of new processes and techniques.

• Detailed Detailed knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of subject.
• Specialised Detailed process-oriented knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of subject.

Assessment Process

Method: Course assessment and feedback from facilitator. An end of course exam is not normally given, although this can be provided if required by the client.

Course Objevtives

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

1. Effectively assess their organisations process of compliance to the regulations.
2. Appreciate their legal responsibilities towards Aircraft Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness regulations.
3. Explain the impact of the implementation of an effective safety and quality policy.
4. Identify and select Safety Management mechanisms for assuring safety.
5. Discharge their legal Form-4 responsibilities correctly.
6. Explain in general terms the EASA Part 145, Part M Sub Part G and JAR OPS Quality Systems.
7. Evaluate the cost implications of quality.
8. Understand the regulations so that they can ask the right questions in their organisations.
