Content This Level 2 qualification comprises 5 mandatory units and 2 option units. Mandatory Units: * Provide support for learning activities. * Support childrens development * Help to keep children safe * Contribute to positive behaviour. * Provide effective support your colleagues. Optional Units: 2 optional units will be covered. Assessment Method of assessment - Candidates will be required to undertake observations under the supervision of college tutors as well as by an identified mentor plus produce a portfolio of evidence to show competency for the award. Progression Aims achieved - Classroom Assistant NVQ 2 There are career developments available for those who wish to progress, this will be discussed at a later.We now offer the option of a broader course in Learning Support which will stand alone as a qualification in its own right .
