CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership for Chartered Engineers

Introduction
Delivered by Charterhouse Training, the Diploma in Management programme for Chartered Engineers offers a 50% exemption based on prior learning and can be completed in 6 months through a combination of open learning and 5 workshops which are held at our Management Training Centre in Coventry. Additionally on completion of the Diploma, and a 360° exercise and panel interview, the Award of Chartered Management Status may be achieved.

Suitability

This qualification is designed for middle managers who want to develop their management skills and who aspire to senior management. All participants must already be Chartered Engineers and provide evidence on registration.

Assessment

• A work related project of approx 5000 words (Conducting a Management Project)
• External assignment of approx 3000 words
• Three Work based assignments of approx 3000 words

Progression

This programme is approved by the Open University (60 H points) for candidates wishing to progress onto an MBA.
Candidates will have the option of undertaking The Chartered Managers Award integrated with the Diploma Project.
Progress onto the next level of Institute qualification, the Executive Diploma in Management who's credit rating with the Open University (90Â M points*) means that most UK universities give you credit towards relevant degrees, masters, MBA or postgraduate programmes.
