Once students have completed this programme, they will understand that there's an art to bringing the best out of people. Specifically they will be able to: understand what coaching is, its benefits, and how to overcome the common barriers to coaching and being coached; Plan a coaching project and know how to pick when, what and who to coach, and know how to plan their coaching approach according to the learner's performance and motivation; Identify effective coaching skills, and understand the differences between coach (push) and learner (pull) centred behaviours. Suitable for: The course is aimed at first time managers, supervisiors and team leaders who want to improve the performance of their staff.
