Colour, style/make-up workshop
Your Course
This course aims to help students objectively re-evaluate the way they currently present themselves and to understand the reasons why certain outfits work and others do not. Students are given a range of 'tools' and ideas to make the most of their appearance and personal presentation. They do this through interactive workshops involving presentations and work in small groups with lots of opportunity for discussion.
First we will introduce the subject of colour and how it is a major factor in looking good. The theory of colour will be explained and students will learn how to choose the right colours for them and how they can be combined. We will also work on using colour to make an impact and to understand how colour affects our mood and influences others.
Secondly we shall look at the concept of style. This incorporates basic body shapes, design and line of clothing, discovering what works best. Work on our 'wardrobe personality' helps students to define and understand their own style.
Lastly a session on makeup application completes the workshop. Students will have the opportunity to create their own makeup, using recommended colours to achieve a natural professional look.
The whole workshop is supported with comprehensive worksheets and presentation folder for students to take home.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the session students will know how to:
· Choose the colours that flatter them and know which colours to avoid.
· Combine colours and use colour to make an impact.
· Select the most flattering styles for body shape, proportions and lifestyle.

· Achieve a natural professional makeup look.
· Feel more confident in what they wear.
