The qualification aims to assess your knowledge about common health conditions. It can also be used to prepare for employment and professional development for those who wish to gain knowledge in this specialist area of practice. This course will raise your awareness of some of the most common health conditions in the UK. You will explore arthritis, stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and sensory loss (both hearing and visual impairments). You will examine the signs, symptoms, risk factors and treatment options for each one. You will also look at a range of strategies that can help to improve the quality of life of someone living with one or a number of these conditions.
