Assessment
Each standard has learning outcomes in the form of knowledge sets which must be fully understood and completed during the recommended 12 week induction period. There after care staff use their working time to consolidate what they have learned in training sessions and to transfer this knowledge into effective practical experience in the workplace with regular supervision.

Qualification
Learning outcomes achieved can be used as evidence towards NVQ and at the end of the course a certificate is issued that enables the learner to register with the General Social Care Council.
