Ideally learners should have completed the Level 2 Course in Computerised Accounting. However, students who can demonstrate competence in the processes included in the Level 2 Course will also be considered.

Course Level 3

Description
The course is aimed at those people who:
Have successfully completed the Level 2 course in Computerised Accounting or who have competence in all of the processes included in the Level 2 Course
Wish to consolidate the knowledge of Computerised Accounting processes gained Level 2 and add a small number of additional processes to them
Wish to familiarise themselves with the monthly routine of an accounts office using a Computerised Accounting system


Course Length
The course is run on a day or evening basis, for 3 hours per week. The course is run over an 18-week period starting in either September or February.

What will I study?
Level Three
Learners will work on the accounts of an existing fictitious company to consolidate their knowledge of the processes learned at Level 2
The course will also include a small number of additional processes, including: Sales Order Processing and Purchase Order Processing
Learners will become familiar with the routine of an accounts office by working through three months worth of input and report generation for the fictitious company, using a Computerised Accounting system.
Learners will identify data security procedures and the implications of current legislation regarding the use of computers and data protection.
