Computer Aided Design Course

Course Aims:
To offer students the opportunity to develop Computer Aided Drawing skills using the industry standard AutoCAD software package. The course will suit those who wish to develop their skills and/or obtain a nationally recognised qualification to improve job prospects or to re-skill to other areas where CAD is required or simply for leisure purposes. CAD is used in a variety of disciplines from engineering to kitchen fitting and garden design

Course Content:
Basic commands to create 2D engineering drawings using tools such as array, line, circle, layers, tangent

Progression:
AutoCAD Level 3

Awarding Body:
City & Guilds

Exam:
Assignment driven at end of course

Qualification:
4351 in Basic Computer Aided Design

Level:
2

Duration:
20 weeks at 3 hours per week
