Course programme

Design and create your own 3D game level using the latest industry standard software.

You will study at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies in our Creative Quarter Campus – a tech-heads dream with cutting-edge facilities.

You will plan and design your game and research your ideas to create an original game design. You will use the Autodesk suite to create 3D models that will be found in your environment and make decisions on characters, objects, colours, sizes, shapes and textures. Once your assets are complete you will import them into the Unreal Engine and here you will be able to create obstacles, consider how your character moves and the environment your game takes place in.

Finally, you will present your games with your tutors and your fellow students testing your final designs.

Upon completing this course you will be able to utilise a computer games engine to design and realise a playable game, and use industry standard 3D software to implement features within your games level. You will also be able to research and adapt your games designs through independent problem solving, and review and evaluate a range of computer games production tools and apply your findings to your own game ideas.
