About this course
Numeracy and Literacy at Level 2 or equivalents and enjoy working with figures.
It is essential that applicants have already achieved C&G Computerised Accounts Level 2 AND have a C&G Book-keeping Level 2 or equivalent qualifications.
Knowledge of the following is necessary: depreciation, credit terms & cash discounts, disposals, stock, prepayments, accruals and the suspense account.

Description of the Course
The course is designed to extend an individuals existing knowledge of SAGE Computerised Accounts. It will enable them to set up and operate the software, process and interpret both routine and non-routine transactions and produce a profit and loss account and a balance sheet.
Course content
The course will include:
· Setting up and amending customer/supplier details, credit limits and settlement terms
· Calculating supplier payments according to terms and conditions
· Processing contra entries, returned cheques and recurring entries
· Processing bad debts and small balance write offs
· Processing provisions ie depreciation and bad debts
· Processing opening and closing entries ie stock, prepayments and accruals
· Processing transactions via a suspense account
· Setting up and amending bank standing orders
· Producing a range of financial reports ie audit trail, supplier/customer day books, profit and loss account, balance sheet, bank reconciliation
Assessment
One external examination.

This course is designed for individuals who wish to develop their existing skills in SAGE Computerised Accounts to enable them to be able to prepare and monitor financial data within a business.

What can I do after this course?
Learners may wish to complement their knowledge of Sage software by progressing onto the Manual and Computerised Payroll courses.
