What does the course involve?
This course offers an introdution to a computerised book-keeping system. Students will learn through discussion, demonstration and practical exercises.

What will I study?
The basic principles of initialising your system How to start to set up your customers, suppliers and general ledger accounts.

Introduction on how to process simple business transcation Learn how to enter opening balances. Record batch customer and supplies invoices and credits.

Reporting Produce simple routine reports.

Data Security Learn how to check your data integrity and the security and file maintenance.

Who is the course for?
This course is for anyone who has basic computer skills. An understanding of basic book-keeping would help but are not essential as this is an introduction course.

What experience do I need?
The course will assume that you have basic computer skills and have some working knowledge of other software packages such as Word Processing. This is aimed at beginners to computerised accounts.

What will I need to bring to the course?
The equipment and resources will be provided for the duration of the course but you may wish to bring a notepad and pen for taking notes.

Will I need to sit an exam?
No, this is not an accredited course.

Is there progression to any course when this course finishes?
Yes depending on your knowledge after completing the course then you may wish to enrol on the Computerised Book-Keeping Level 1 or 2 course.
