WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
The aim of the course is to develop the knowledge and competence of candidates in the use of commercially available payroll software designed to aid in the fundamental preparation of both weekly and monthly payroll administration. Students may either be new to payroll supervision or have existing payroll experience, all of whom wish to gain the highly accredited I.A.B Level 2 Computerised Payroll qualification.
WHAT WILL I STUDY?
Upon completion of the course you will have learned and become competent in:
Introduction to the payroll function
Overview of the computerised administration process
Setting key parameters, codes and payroll details
Calculating and entering gross pay
Entering details relating to additions and deductions
Calculating basic PAYE and NI
Statutory sick pay and maternity pay
Performing weekly / monthly routines and printouts
The course is based upon the latest versions of SAGE payroll
WHAT ARE MY COMMITMENTS?
In order to embark on the course students must be numerate and have basic communication skills. Successful applicants will be invited to attend classes on Monday 6.00pm 8.00pm

ASSESSMENT
You will be assessed at various stages of progress to determine your readiness to sit the IAB Level 2 examinations. The format of the course is based on formal tuition, tutor text materials, and exposure to increasingly complex exercises or past examination papers. Every opportunity is provided for you to progress comfortably at your own speed.

Course fees are payable on enrolment. Costs shown in brackets are for those on income-based benefits. Refunds are not normally available.
WHAT ADDITIONAL COSTS ARE THERE?
An extra payment of approximately 30.00 will be required for examination fees / resit fees
WHAT WILL I ACHIEVE?
Successful delegates will be offered the opportunity to sit the IAB Computerised Payroll Level 2 Examination.
WHAT CAN I DO AFTERWARDS?
You may progress on to AAT Payroll Administration NVQ III.
