The course is very broad and covers different modules ranging from forensic science, criminology, law and digital forensics. I would personally say it is a better alternative to forensic science unless you're certain this is the path you want to take, as it opens more doors in terms of job sector. The course is mainly coursework based. I am in second year and have had one proper exam and about 3-4 phase tests since the start of my course. It can be challenging at times but Coventry university provides books as part of the uni fee and lecturers are at your disposal as long as you email them to book a session. Another positive I would add is that the course is not exactly a popular one, which makes for extra attention when needed as well as help entering into sectors that are always hiring! Personally I really enjoy my course and my dissertation topic was quite interesting to choose considering the broad range of topics I had to choose from. If you're considering the course I would 100% say go for it.

This degree will keep you on your toes. The lecturers are never dull and allow lectures to me enjoyable. They cater to everyone's needs and have an open door policy which help students a lot. The degree itself teaches you from how to investigate a hard drive using tools the police use to how to get away with murder. As the degree is so innovative opportunities just land at your feet.

Overall, it's been good. The work can get the best of you if you don't keep track of it but without the pressure of a lot of exams, it's easily managed. There aren't many issues with it. Placements are encouraged and skills are focused on.

I would say that my experience has been positive and I have learned a lot. However, I also feel that the courses and their content could be structured better as I do not feel I have learned as much as I could have. I am however grateful for studying in such a modern university equipped with facilities that contribute to a comfortable learning environment. They provide advice on preparing a CV right through to providing mock interviews to provide feedback and improve prospects. They provide career fairs and employer talks so that students are aware what out there and can find more information. They provide several workshops to help develop soft skills such as leadership courses and communicating with confident body language etc. The practical tutorial/lab sessions within the networking lab and ethical hacking lab.

An invaluable experience at Coventry University. The thing that I liked the most is that the University has a centre that is dedicated just to enhance employablility whilst studying at Coventry. It offers opportunities to work or study overseas, learn a foreign language and gain international experience. As an international student myself I managed to get work experience through the centre. Additionally, the faculty provides support to find placements, through organizing events, provide support to improve CV, help with interviews.

My experience at Coventry has been great. I think this is a very interesting university, fully modernised teaching methods and approach, 24x7 full equipped library, access to all major computing softwares. The tutors encourage us to contact them, regular meeting for groups and individuals are set up to check on our progress and to allow us to provide feedback on any changes to the course we may prefer. However any support required with technical faults, such as with moodle or emails, can take longer to resolve as the tech team are slow at replying to your issues and concerns. It's more likely to be sorted if you approach specific personel with your problem as emails are often pushed to one side.

Coventry University is excellent with great facilities, staff and work. The city itself is small with the outskirts being quite rough but the university is in the nicest area with clean safe streets. many of the modules are directly involved in improving your technical skills and giving you a wide range of ability's. The University provides job fairs with major companies so that you can interact with potential employers. There is a large amount of support for internship placements and also post graduate jobs for the students. Lecturers are all very high-skilled, they cover a broad range of topics in first year before becoming more specific to your area of interest by third year. Many of of my lectures were on theory but there are modules that have lots of practical work interspersed within the lectures.

This has been the best educational experience, I want to thank the staff, I think they are the nicer people on planet earth! During the time I spent here I have learned a lot because the centre seems to have everything under control. A good experience.

The University is giving us the opportunity to visit plenty of exhibitors, work placements, and useful working skills. Careers department staff is extremely kind and helpful. The Students' Union is awsome. It is great, we have a nice support center located in the library, but the feedback is not complete by some of the tutors. A huge volunteering part and a lot of activities in Coventry.

Studying at Coventry has been a great experienceswith knowledge attained unsurpassed due to continual industry demand adaptation. I have made so many new friends. The employability service offered within faculty also offering advice on Curriculum Vitae requirements plus lectures on numerical testing or other criteria for industry demand. Excellent ex industry lecturers and up to date technology to utilise in order to understand course material. The online course material provided via Moodle is very useful. Excellent facilities in a state of the art building only recently constructed to meet student demand and in line with industry demand. Academically support is great and extra sessions is always encouraged to ensure student understanding of course material. As for my experience with the counselling services, they have been of great support and excellent as well for guidance on exam stress or other concerns.
