COURSES ARE RUN ON A WEEKLY BASIS THROUGHOUT THE UK EITHER AT LOCAL TRAINING CENTRES OR SUITABLE CLIENT PREMISES.
Who For?
Designed for personnel who have to enter confined spaces.
Note: This course does not qualify personnel in the use of full breathing apparatus, but does include the Emergency Escape Breathing Apparatus.
Confined Space Course (Entry) Objective
The aim of this course is to provide all course candidates with a firm understanding of the current legislation regarding confined space entry and safe work in a confined space. Including being able to identify the types of confined spaces and their hazards and the ability to enter a confined space and apply the safe and correct procedures for entry into, working within, and the emergency procedure for confined space operations.
Content:
- Awareness of Confined Space legislation
- Ability to recognise and identify a confined space
- Understanding of the hazards associated with confined spaces
- Ability to identify and use specialist equipment required for confined space entry
- Awareness of Health & Hygiene aspects of the confined space environment
- An understanding of the personalities and their duties regarding confined spaces procedures
- Practical exercises using confined space equipment
- Confined space entry exercise using escape sets
- Confined Space Entry Certificate
Certification
All persons who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate for Confined Space Entry.
