This course specifically concentrates on the advanced rescue skills required to provide on-site cover for those working in confined spaces (of any type). It assumes previous qualification in entry and BA, and covers searching, advanced winching and hauling systems, operations in zero visibility, incident management and immediate-response risk assessment. Suitable for: Who Should Attend. Persons who are required to provide on-site rescue cover for confined space operations, including evacuation of casualties using stretchers. It is not suitable for those involved in mining operations.

Prerequisites
Those attending must hold a valid certification in Medium or High Risk Confined Space Entry and Breathing Apparatus modules (or equivalents), and be medically fit for the practical element of the course.

  • Safeguarding the rescuers

Assessment

Delegates will be assessed orally, written exam and by observation

Certification

A certificate will be issued on successful completion

Health

Delegates will be required to complete a medical questionnaire prior to the commencement of the course.
