Entry requirements Essential Requirements:----5 GCSEs at grade C or above which must include English, Maths--The college's initial assessment of basic Maths and English at level 2 or above--An excellent record of attendance and commitment at school/college--Demonstrate a high degree of enthusiasm and a commitment to succeed and prepare effectively for employment----Desirable Requirements:----A strong desire to progress to level 4 Higher Education course in Construction--Completed some work experience within the construction industry--Demonstrate a high degree of enthusiasm and professionalism-- 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method The course involves the execution of a hypothetical construction contract. Learners will be given a client brief to design, cost, manage and obtain necessary regulatory consents. All assessments will feed into this project directly through assignments and designs. --This industry recognised qualification leads onto the second year of the Extended Diploma, where a further 9 disciplines is taught (18 units overall, 180 credits, and potentially 420 UCAS points).
