Course programme
Those who want to become Qualified Supervisors responsible for electrical work in domestic properties subject to Approved Document P (Electrical Safety - Dwellings) in England from 6th April 2013. This 'Fast Track' option is only suitable for candidates who have gained the practical experience within the domestic electrical installation field and therefore will NOT require the substantial practical training exercises contained within the FULL course. 10 Days of practical training and 17th Edition Wiring Regualtions has been removed from this 'Fast Track' option. Please note that you will be required to hold a BS7671:2008(2011) 17th Edition qualification and this can be studied separately. It will enable you to self-certify your own domestic electrical work once you have been assessed by the Part P scheme operator. This will save you valuable time and the cost of pre notification building control fees for notifiable works as you will deal through your scheme operator.
The qualification is intended for those seeking to carry out domestic electrical work in association with, or for their main work activity, and wish to be nominated as a 'Qualified Supervisor' with one of the industry Competent Person Schemes, such as NICEIC, ELECSA or NAPIT using the 'Qualification Route' to satisfy the technical competences laid down within the new Electrotechnical Assessment Specification. Please ensure for familiarize yourself with the requirements for the registration of Qualified Supervisors as given in Appendix 4 of the EAS scheme document. All classes will be strictly limited to a maximum of 10 candidates to enable the must effective teaching and learning environment possible.
