2. Course description On this building services engineering pathway of the HNC you will study the following units: · design principles and application for construction and the built environment · group project in the construction industry · health, safety and welfare for construction and the built environment · application of scientific principles to building services engineering · applied mathematics for construction and the built environment · personal and professional development · low pressure hot water (LPHW) heating for non-domestic buildings · air conditioning for industrial and commercial buildings Studying and working at the same time will require good organisational and time management skills, but it will allow you to use what you've learned immediately in your job. You can also use real-life experiences in your studies and share examples of good practice with your fellow students on the course. You will study at our Basford Hall site, which from September 2015 will be completely transformed. We'll have brand new facilities focusing on providing specialist training in construction, science, technology and engineering, building on the strength of our existing reputation in these areas.
