2. Course description On this construction pathway of the HNC you will study the following units: · design principles and application for construction and the built environment · group project in the construction and the built environment · health, safety and welfare for construction and the built environment · science and materials for construction and the built environment  · construction and maintenance of buildings  · management principles and application · technology of complex buildings  · project management for construction and the built environment  You will study at our Basford Hall site, which from September 2015 will be completely transformed. We'll have brand new facilities focusing on providing specialist training in construction, science, technology and engineering, building on the strength of our existing reputation in these areas.

Entry requirements You should be employed in the building services sector of the construction industry and have at least one of the following: · at least two A Levels at ‘A2', with one in a related subject area · a BTEC Diploma or Extended Diploma in a related subject area · International Baccalaureate · a construction-related craft qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3 Mature students with relevant experience and/or qualifications, including an Access to HE Diploma within a relevant area, are welcome to apply. 4. Equipment required Where appropriate, any equipment required (e.g. protective clothing) will be discussed with you at interview/enrolment.
