The course draws upon principles of Release technique, Choreology (Laban-based analysis of movement) and improvisation techniques beyond the basics to get you to explore a fuller range of movement patterns leading to dynamic and fluid dance sequences in and out of the floor and across the space.

Course programme
We will look at dynamic bone alignment, spiralling up and down the floor, upside-downs, rhythms and spatial pathways through floor work, centre and traveling across space.
Group work in a well equipped, modern sprung floor studio with music. It is essential to be ready to start on time.
Bare feet or anti-grip socks should be used except in exceptional cases to be discussed with the teacher. It is
recommended to tie hair back if it is long for safety and comfort. Wear a short or long sleeved top and trousers covering the knees for the floor work.

Contemporary dance: improvers or switch dance style to: Classical Ballet, Tap dance or Tango Argentino.
