About this course
Entry requirements are based on previous qualifications in relevant subjects such as Music Practice or Music Technology National Diploma or A Level. A minimum of 2 A levels are required together with a protfolio of work and similar achievement in a National Diploma qualification. Mature students and students without relevant qualifications are also allowed to apply and it will be down to the Curriculum Manager to decide on suitability.

Course programme
Is this course for me?
Students will have access to the departments Industry Standard Recording Studios, Rehearsal Rooms and Industry Standard Music Computer Suites including Cubase SX, Logic, Pro-Tools, Ableton, Reason and Sibelius software.
What will I study?
Core areas involve Recording Studio Techniques, Live Sound, MIDI Sequencing, Music Performance, Music Law and Composition.

Various options are open to you including working within the industry in one of many possible roles - which you will be investigating as part of your professional practice module. You will also be tutored in looking not only at work options but also further study which may lead to postgraduate certificates/diplomas or Masters degree.
