Course programme

Background to the Course The industry specific scheme is part of a wider Safety Pass Alliance Scheme (which operates in other industries), which shows that you as a contractor have achieved a basic level of health and safety and environmental knowledge to work within the extractive and mineral processing industries. It is not a measure of competence in your field but a course covering health and safety and environmental awareness specific to the industry.

Who Should Attend? All contractors working in the extractive and mineral processing industries. Course Objectives The scheme is designed to assist CONTRACTORS to:

Improve health, safety and environmental awareness and minimise accidents and ‘near misses’ because as a Contractor you are now part of the everyday operational life of most quarries and in most other extractive industries and as such you are at risk of being involved in an accident.

Increase productivity and efficiency as well as saving time and expense by not having to sit through repetitive health and safety induction programmes which is time to you and therefore costs you money.
