2. Course description Get ready for the weekend with this practical course covering a range of cooking skills, to enable you to create delicious meals for your family and friends.The aim of the course is for you to learn and practise the cookery skills involved in preparing savoury main dishes, starters, sides and desserts. Throughout the course you will prepare a wide range of exciting recipes suitable for both formal and informal entertaining. You will cook a selection of dishes, which will include meat and fish recipes as well as desserts and baking. We aim for this to be a sociable and enjoyable cookery class, ideal for anyone who enjoys trying new recipes and foods.

3. Entry requirements This course is suitable for all abilities, from beginners to those with more knowledge and experience of Cookery. Less experienced or less confident cooks may be encouraged to limit the number of dishes they prepare.This course is suitable for vegetarians. Although some of the planned recipes will include meat or fish, your tutor will always be able to suggest alternative ingredients.N.B. Please do let us know if you have an allergy or food intolerance when you enrol on any one of our cookery courses. This information is important and will ensure the tutor can plan alternative ingredients or recipes where necessary.We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. Please let staff know if you require any extra support when you enrol and they will arrange for a member of the Supported Learning Team to contact you to discuss your support needs. Equipment required Recipes/ingredients list will be sent 1 week prior to the start of the first class.Please bring an apron, tea-towels and all ingredients as listed in the recipes sent to you, also some suitable containers to take food home in.It is important to wear clothes and footwear suitable for a busy, hot kitchen. 5.
