Course programme
This is an in-depth course guiding students through the development of an effective and comprehensive range of copywriting skills. It is ideal for owners and managers in small or medium-sized business setting. The course fee includes all course material, full tutorial support and course book: How to Write Great Copy.
Assignments are submitted to your tutor by e-mail or through the post. Students can work through at their own pace and have up to three years to complete their course altogether. The course involves approximately 50 hours of study time. You are assigned a personal tutor at the beginning of the course who will work with you for the duration. Your tutor can be contacted at any time if you have any questions or problems, or if you would simply like to discuss how the course is going - in a very real sense, a mentor as well as a tutor.
Subjects covered include: writing to communicate; the art of selling through words; understanding the world of marketing; print advertisements; direct mail; brochures, catalogues and other sale literature; commercials; key writing skills.
During the course students will also learn how to market their own copywriting skills and how/where to find freelance contracts, as well as beginning to develop their own copywriting portfolio.
