Our cookery team building days are a great way to get the team talking. Once in the kitchen they will work together with professional chefs to produce fantastic food. Prior culinary experience is not essential and you may be surprised by your staff’s hidden talents.

At The Old Rectory we can cater for hands on cookery for up to 10 people. For larger groups of 20 or more, we use the beautifully restored barn at Bury Court, which is a five minute drive from The Old Rectory Cookery School. This has the added thrill of working in a professional kitchen.

We can tailor make an event to suit your requirements by working with you to provide a day that suits your company’s specific needs… this couldcorporate-team-building3.jpg involve a morning meeting, followed by lunch and then into the kitchen to prepare either something to take home or a meal to eat together. Alternatively arrive in the morning to fresh coffee and homemade biscuits, watch a brief demonstration and then into the kitchen to start cooking.

A suggested outline could be:

• Arrive to fresh coffee and homemade biscuits
• A short demonstration of dishes that will be prepared
• The group is divided into teams
• Each team is allocated recipes to prepare
• All teams to present and serve the food that they have cooked
• Lunch served with a glass of wine
• Coffee and chocolates at the end of the mealcorporate-team-building4.jpg
• Prizes can be awarded for most attractive presentation, most efficient team etc.

All ingredients and equipment are supplied together with a copy of the recipes to take home.
