Corset making

This exciting intensive course is suitable for beginners as well as students with some previous experience. Students will have the opportunity to make a basic non-period corset or a period corset for the more advanced.

Students will learn how to draft up a corset pattern (block), make up a toile of a corset, and learn how to fit the toile and make up the final garment. Students will then be taken through final fitting and completion of the garment.

The more experienced students will be shown how to draft up a corset block and how to manipulate modern blocks into period patterns.
