CPA1 training is based on the requirements of British Standard (BS) 7967 Parts 1 - 4. The assessment is designed to assess an engineer's competence to undertake and interpret the results of a combustion performance analysis, obtained across a range of domestic gas appliances including; flueless, open flued and room sealed appliances.
You must hold a recognised gas qualification (such as Gas foundation) or, if already a gas engineer, a previous ACS CCN1 certificate. You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to attend the programme and a willingness to study theoretical and practical components of the programme.
