Course description
This course aims to explore innovations in curriculum development and delivery and provide a welcome opportunity for teachers to get together and exchange ideas that work in the area of digital design and technology, and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
It includes opportunities to gain accredited continuing professional development (CPD) and in-service training (INSET) in design and technology education with a special emphasis on the digital aspects of the subject.
You explore the convergence of emerging digital technologies and learning, by selecting from a programme of meetings and workshops. Each one of these is designed to support you in developing innovative, high-quality strategies and approaches to teaching and learning in digital design and technology.

CPD/INSET activitiesOur programme of CPD/INSET activities changes regularly in response to contemporary developments, your group study may include
• a forum where you explore innovative ideas and approaches in design and technology with opportunities for you to reflect on issues in your own schools
• practical workshops to develop your personal capability in the use of a range of digital technologies to support design and technology focused activity in schools – these incorporate aspects of CADCAM, ECT and e-textiles
• workshops designed to support you in developing innovative, high quality strategies and approaches to design and technology focused teaching and learning in schools
